Avian flu is taking a heavy toll on populations of seabirds around the British Isles. I was fortunate to make a trip to the Shetland Isles for GUVS and to have a small amount of time for photography before the return ferry trip. Reports of affected colonies of seabirds in the Firth of Forth are very concerning. It is difficult to see how these beautiful creatures will ride out this disease.
