A factoidal nom-de-plume journal by Walid Raad photo-tracked the 1982 Israeli invasion of Beirut. The compelling image of the many speckled tree grew more so after finding that each dot represented a type of AK-47 bullet retrieved - each color representing one of 25 different nation's suppliers.

 

Somehow seeing the tree shot thus freshly illuminated the senseless + clumsy carnage of war.
