Winter Wonderland - #7 on explore

Just back from a long and unforgettable trip to Norway, a country where I hadn’t been before.

 

I’ve had the opportunity to shoot in the north of the country, facing its Arctic climate. Remote and unknown locations with frozen rivers, amazing mountains, breathtaking views of beautiful fjords, frozen forests, animal life, unique beaches and, last but not the least, aurora borealis….

 

All of that came home on my cards and will stay forever in my memory. Processing all those images will take quite some time but I thought that just a glimpse of the beauty of those places should be shared with you right away.

 

This shot was taken on the first day there. It was freezing cold, but the beauty surrounding me well compensated the harsh weather and the trekking to get there. No one in sight, total silence only broken by the soft murmur of the water still running on the frozen river. The only sign of (animal) life in that idyllic scenery was the tree eaten by a moose. So peaceful and beautiful!
