An Alien World
Stokksnes beach is a magnet for photographers, everyone trying to get the best view of the beautiful Vestrahorn mountain. The other surrounding spots are most of the time disregarded. Happily, away from the beach, on the other side of the road (westwards) there are even more black sand dunes, topped with the amazing yellow (due to wintertime, I imagine) tall grass, that provide ample opportunities to take incredible shots. This photo was taken at sunset, with a beautiful orangeish glow from golden hour light.
