Life For Mile Railway Construction Movie Producers Took a Ride on Engine 2141 Spirit of Kamloops at the Kamloops Heritage Railway (Kamrail) in Okanagan BC

We are currently producing Life For Mile, a feature film planned for a theatrical release about the Chinese and Indians (First Nations) involvement in the construction of the transcontinental railway that united Canada as a nation in the 1880s. It was said that for every mile of railroad that was built, one Chinese life had been sacrificed, thus the title of the movie. The Chinese workers’ contribution has been noted many times, but little has been said of the native Indian’s involvement. While we were in Kamloops BC meeting with the local Shuswap Nation, we also visited Kamloops Heritage Railway (Kamrail) and went on a one-hour tour aboard Engine 2141, Spirit of Kamloops which carried us on a trip in the beautiful Okanagan area.
