Bench Mark Redux

Tomorrow (Sunday)'s the day we were supposed to go participate in the annual community event––the parent children fishing event here at the nearby reservoir.

 

Unfortunately, Shingo's been dead sick since Tuesday afternoon, with a fever hitting 104.5F at times. We took him to the world famous Children's Hospital ER yesterday, and he tested negative for strep throat, and so the diagnosis was that it's probably something viral and that he just have to rough it out, keeping his fever low with acetaminophen and ibuprofen.

 

He's not vomiting or anything, eating moderately well, and his energy level is relatively high while the fever is down, so we're not too worried. But seeing him getting the shivers whenever the temperature starts shooting up is not a fun sight :-(

 

Oh yeah, we had to throw away our tickets to the Big Apple Circus we had for tonight; pretty good mezzanine seats we'd reserved 3 months in advance, because we couldn't find anybody to sell it to, or (at the end) even give out for free.

 

 

All in all, not a really good way to spend the weekend I'm afraid.
