Dashkesan Bayan Village
Azerbaijan is by far one of the most interesting places I've ever been and Dashkesan was by far the most unique place in that country. Nestled between Russia and Iran and a airway corridor to Afghanistan makes Azerbaijan it a VERY important ally for the US.
This old soviet town once had German WWII POWs mining and building bridges for the region. Some folks still speak german.
