Paris - A River Runs Through It :: HDR
I could write many things about my trip to Paris, even a novel or a poem, others have done it… a travel book, an essay… what a city!… totally none original to say, We loved it!... but we did… I shared the experience with my two sons, Guilherme and Raul Jr., they were on my side, making the experience bigger… they will have their own sayings and feelings, but I could feel they loved it too! We felt there at home… we felt welcomed… I cherish the human side of a city too… all those landmarks were built in our mind from long ago… to meet them live was a dream come true!
So I was too busy with my eyes, ears, all five senses… trying to capture it all inside… amongst all the emotion and awe… the urban life, the streets full of people, the monumental architecture… too much for so few days! That sometimes I remembered to grab my camera and make a picture… other times I forgot I had it… other times there was no light, or it was raining, or cameras were not allowed, or tripods, etc. But that doesn’t matter… the memory is here to stay!
And in the end, we had the great pleasure of meeting my flickr friend Frank Baillet and his friends Catherine, Thierry, Julien and Valentin! It was an emotional moment for me, going from virtual to real. I thank you all the warm reception and for accepting us into your group in a photography journey we will never forget. Meant a lot… We felt even more at home… This picture here today of your city is for you, dear friends!
