Porsche 917K (917-008) (Claudio Roddaro)
This 917 led the 24 Hours of Le Mans 1969 for 22 hours before a mechanical failure.
Chassis 008 is also the car on which the short tail solution was empirically tested by John Horsman of JWA at Zeltweg in July 1969. It is therefore the first 917 Kürzheck. For 1970 it was kept as a reserve car for the JWA Gulf team but did not race under these colors.
