indie rock late 00's scene {2008-present}

Indie rock was created to describe underground rock music originally, however the public would soon catch up! Thanks to The Beatles for their sophisticated melodies, memorable songs and very intelligent song writing they inspired an entire genre! Indie rock style is loosely based on what the beatles created. Like alternative, they weren't bound to what they could do or how they could sound but the only limit was to not venture into the rockaholic zones since they have been accepted by Old School rock'n'roll lovers. They have been around since post-punk rock and are still around, their fashion sense is rather random but at best they consider a style they could get a job with! Male Indie rockers are more metrosexual by appearance, Female Indie rockers are tom girlish. They never gained the widespread attention until now, by 2008 bands such as Plain White T's, Kings of Leon, Iron and Wine and even Vampire Weekend got spots on the radio. Some describe Indie rock as 'city rock' being they often perform in cities and city radios more often play their tunes. Figurably chicks dig this genre more than guys do but I guess there is a reason for that.
