Custom video controller

This is a Flash AS3 custom video controller I made for NAIT. Since it was built from the ground up the file size is small and it is easy to customize the functionality and the look. It is designed so that you can easily add a video to a webpage by adding code to the HTML wrapper and changing a few parameters. There is no need to recompile the Flash.

 

The Flash stage will resize dynamically depending what video size is set in the javascript parameters.

 

One of the optional parameters is to link it to an external xml file which may contain multiple movie links and a list of chapters for each. Also optional is the video list (left side) and chapter list (rights side).

 

Deeplinking is also supported. By adding a simple name/value pair to the URL it will jump to a specific video in the list.

 

Streaming video and progressive video are supported. A debug parameter allows you to overlay video data to test certain aspects of your video performance.
