The Anas platyrhynchos, the scientific name of the mallard duck. I encountered one of these ducks in Swan Lake and managed to take a picture of it. It approached me curiously, probably expecting some food from me. I was fascinated by the iridescent green color of its head, which contrasted with its bright yellow beak.
