The Trinity Church Kappl
The Trinity Church Kappl (pilgrimage church of the Holy Trinity) is one of the most peculiar church creations in Germany, It is located inbetween the Glasberg and the Dietzenberg in the Waldsassen district.
It was built between 1685 and 1689 according to plans by Georg Dientzenhofer. The central building represents the divine Trinity. The number three dominates in all building components. In the exterior, the idea of the Trinity is symbolized in the three towers and the three ridge turrets with onion domes.
