Reflections of an Alien
Comet C/2023 A3 (Tsuchinshan-ATLAS) has an 80,000 year orbit and a long tail that wags across millions of miles. It is also quite bright. Rishabh and I could see it and its reflection in the Merced River with our bare eyes. The bright moon in the east illuminated the scene you see above, and if you believe me, the alien comet sang me a twilight lullaby from 44 million miles away.
