Tibetan Lhacham, Tibet [c1879] Sarat Chandra Das [RESTORED]
Entitled: Tibetan Lhacham (Princess), Tibet [c1879] Sarat Chandra Das [RESTORED]. I did simple spotting and scratch reduction, contrast and tone adjustments, and then had to repair a series of what appeared to be deep emulsion cracks that were spread across her face like she had been tattooed by static electricity. I then cropped the extra top and added a bit of background horizontal to make a squared image.
The original resides in one of those "they're holding it for the sake of mankind" syndicates called the Royal Geographical Society. Meanwhile nobody gets to ever see any of this stuff unless they pay for it; that's the new meaning of public domain.
