Fly-mimicking orchid flower (Telipogon peruvianus)

Pseudocopulatory mimicry – Involves false or dumb-mating, in which a plant mimics the opposite sex of a pollinator (through appearance or scent), instigating fruitless-intercourse, through which pollen is transferred to the pollinator. Several false attempts ensures pollination.
