Ultra Warm and Cozy Felted Wool Headband

I'm starting to make these now that there is a nip of autumn in the air, unlike my regular warm and cozy headbands this style will cover your ear. They are designed to prevent slippage and stay secure so you don't loose your band while skiing, snowboarding, jogging or walking.

 

This headband was felted using some self striping falkland wool yarn handspun by Abby of Folktale.etsy.com. There is a beautiful rainbow pattern of green, soft purple, pink, olive, purple and brown.

My special Raimbow Tree design has been appliquéd onto this headband with tiny little pieces of wool felt in an assortment of hand dyed colors. There are also some decorative embroidered swirls.

 

This Ultra warm headband is perfect for fall and winter or an upcoming ski or snowboard trip. It is a thicker yarn for extra warmth and is backed with soft and fuzzy fleece. These headbands secure with a so soft fleece covered elastic band. Fits the average head size, if you have a smaller or larger head than average please let me know so I can resize this band to suit your fancy.
