Last Panama Limited

On April 30, 1971, passenger trains operated by most of America's railroads would begin their last runs. The next day, May 1st, Amtrak would take over operation of a small subset of these trains. This set captures the departure of the last "Panama Limited". Following a brief ceremony, Illinois Central's train #5 departed Chicago from Central Station a 5 PM for the last time.
