Westbound train passes under signal bridge with Pennsylvania Railroad style position light signals.

These signals are endangered as the are being rapidly being replaced as railroads upgrade their plant. Signals at this location date back to a time when this route was part of the PRR's Panhandle route to Chicago Union Station. This route is now owned by Metra. Amtrak Hiawatha service and the Empire Builder (trains 7 & 8) also pass this way. The NS serves the ADM facility whose plant lead appears in the right foreground of this photo.
