Kenwood "L" Branch Station 4068 S. Elis Ave
This is what remains of Chicago's Kenwood branch of the South Side L. The line shared the embankment with a freight railroad (Chicago Junction I believe). The tracks and bridges over city streets have long since been removed. But sections of the embankment remain. The bricked up portals were entrances to the station platform above. I wonder what's behind those bricks!
