24/365: Jump!
I've been looking forward to trying this shot all day long, and I never had the chance to do it during daylight hours. So I finally get home around 10:30 pm or so, and have resigned myself to using one of my spinning photos for today's 365. But after I saw how much fun it looked like everyone over at FGR was having, I just couldn't go to bed without trying!
30 jumps later, here I am. Sore ankles, tired knees, an achy back, sweaty and out of breath...but I'm not complaining, mind you, I learned a lot about myself during this shoot:
1. I am older than I like to think I am.
2. I am not as svelt as I am in my head.
3. Despite the fact that I do not train on a regular basis, I am still not athletic.
Y'know, one of the recurring messages that keeps popping up in my life is to not take myself too seriously; card readers, palm readers, fortune cookies, even mystical cab drivers...the message keeps coming back. I think being part of this 365 group, and this creative and supportive online community is helping me change that, slowly but surely: God knows, 3 weeks ago I would have NEVER posted some of the things I've put up here.
I just hope I don't end up in traction before the year is up!
