Kanyakumari

Without a question, Kanyakumari a.k.a. Cape Comorin is one the best tourist destinations in India. It being the southern most tip of India, you see both Sunrise and Sunset across the ocean. And the confluence of three ocean bodies - Bay of Bengal, Indian Ocean and Arabian Sea makes these events even better.

Also known for the famous Vivekananda Rock Memorial built in 1970 where Swami Vivekananda said to be seated for meditation after swimming across the ocean. Recent addition (Year 2000) is the giant statue of Thiruvalluvar, a tamil poet, measuring 133 feet in height.

BTW, this is my first road trip by Car (Yep. Finally bought a Car). Located 680 km south of Bengaluru, Kanyakumari can be reached by a 4-Lane Toll Road or by train.
