Double Your Pleasure
Here's something kind of cool. It's a custom enclosure for a customer's double Mutron. He wants to put each pickup through a separate Mutron. Which is cool. At one point in the 70's I seem to remember Bootsy had three Mutrons going on the three pickups in his Star bass.
Anyway, I've had this enclosure for several days, but we've been having thunderstorms every day and I have that five-foot-long copper grounding stake in the tent, which is kind of a recipe for getting struck by lightning.
It seemed like it was going to be clear today, but we actually DID end up having another thunderstorm. It's raining right now. This place is so strange, I guess because we're so close to the water. I looked out the back door and saw rain POURING down in the guy's yard across my back fence. Took 2-3 minutes for the rain to reach my yard.
Luckily, I was done with this enclosure and that 2-3 minutes gave me enough time to shut everything down, bring the enclosure inside (it was still pretty hot...had to use an oven mitt) and zip up the tent.
So here it is; the custom enclosure for a double Mutron.
Off to the left behind it you can see four Vactrols for the build.
