2015 Junior G-Man Prototype

I just got some cell phone photos of the new Junior G-Man Prototype!

Mahogany body and neck with a rosewood fretboard. Tung oil over aniline dye finish. Single hard-mounted humbucker. Locking tuners. Tune-O-Matic bridge and tailpiece.

This was the guitar I originally had in mind when I started the company. My first 40 instruments two years ago were Juniors. I'd always wanted a Junior set up this way. I appreciate the, "classic" Juniors, but I always wanted a Junior with better intonation and a big ol' humbucker hard-mounted for High Voltage rock 'n roll...er, so to speak.

BTW, funny anecdote...when I was a kid and first saw AC/DC I thought Malcolm was playing some kind of Junior I'd never seen before. Even after I knew he was playing a Gretsch I still liked the idea of a Junior set up for that kind of ruckus. It stuck in my head and all these years later I present to you, the 2015 Junior G-Man!
