The Houses Of Wendy

Thats's my pet name for galaxies.

Drew this at "MY!" bench in the clinic.

It's about our infinite insignificance in the face of 2 galaxies colliding (and emitting the resulting detectable gravity waves). Obviously the right side is too small.

- BEGIN BIG SCIENCE SPEECH -

It occurred to me that being that the singularity at the core of a black hole has 0 size it follows that when two black holes merge they never stop falling into each other. Also that they have an angular momentum, which being preserved, will cause their orbital speed to accelerate as they get closer together. This means that they will approach relativistic speeds. The resulting gravity wave would then approach near undetectable frequencies. Naturally when they reach the universal speed limit (c) then the two holes will merge into one as the orbits can no longer be sustained. But what if the speed limit only applies to objects with size (since space-time assumes length, width and breadth, and is the fabric within which c operates) then orbits would never decay and the gravity waves would approach an infinite frequency - and never stop increasing. The universe would then be infested with waves, far off the scales of detectability but still affecting the fabric, perhaps like a wind that could cause the expansion of the universe, and even the acceleration of that expansion as more and more galaxies collide. Could that wind be the dark energy currently assigned as explanation of that acceleration expansion. Anyway... I'm no cosmologist!

And I digress.

Really I wanted to point out that cores of galaxies into which many other galaxies and individual stellar black holes have "merged" over the billennia will contain each independent singularity in a seething heave of singularities still orbiting or falling into each other for ever and ever amen...

- END BIG SCIENCE SPEECH -

I wonder what manner of fantastical things could inhabit such a peculiar contraption...

And could these waves also be a carrier signal communicating into their respective galaxies a kind of higher dimension driving force that creates the peculiar interspersions into our reality that I keep bumping into because I'm so called mad. The Dimensions of Probability..?

Perhaps our own Galaxy* is even a thing worthy of worship!

Hardly less Odd than God, right?. And the idea had me suitably inkled for the duration of my stay in HighCare. I'll admit it's pretty far fetched. And so I abandoned the idea and popped it into The Jar.

Any way. We'll...
