Painted Lady butterfly in the process of breaking out of her Chrysalis. Part of the chrysalis is still attached to her back, wings and lower abdomen.
Single shot @ f13, 1/160 sec, iso 250. Canon 5d mkii, 100mm macro lens plus 36mm extension tube. Manual flash =2 speedlights Canon 580 exii plus 430 exii plus a kitchen foil DIY reflector. Favourite green t-shirt as a 'backdrop'!
