qthomasbower says: Antonio is such a groundbreaking artist in the field of geometric abstraction - his photostream is something not to missed. Notice this incredible image in a variety of sizes. How remarkably recognizable it is in the thumbnail! In the detail though, it transforms into a fractal recursion of geometric abstraction. Congratulations for such incredible and inspired work! (And your subject matter is not bad, either! LOL...)

qthomasbower says: The absolute master of mosaics, tsevis, is one of my personal idols. This was one of the first mosaics I ever saw that inspired me on to continue to improve my attempts at mosaic creation.

qthomasbower says: I was just planning a diamond (45 degree) based mosaic, but of course, tsevis has been there! LOL! Nevertheless, I have a good idea... be on the lookout!

qthomasbower says: Again, extending the boundaries, stretching the definition of mosaic. True genius at work.

qthomasbower says: I love op art and I'm not sure how this spiral effect was achieved, but it's magnificent!

qthomasbower says: More op art - this pattern inspires me to create a similar set of blocks to create a photocollage mosaic!

qthomasbower says: A different mosaic feel indeed, but so close to some works of my own in ways, yet transcendent of them. I love this piece, and this artist.
