OKAY, I guess I’m a bear collector now too! (And I got a plant.)
I’ve been falling in love with 1990s-early 2000s Knickerbocker Bears*, and I spotted this little cutie on eBay. She’s missing an eye, and I always have had a soft spot for misfit toys, so voila. She came with the name Libby, and I like it. I’ll figure out something to do about that missing eye. (Probably a cool eyepatch, ha! She seems scrappy; don’t let her dapper little bowtie fool you.)
The plant is a snake plant**, so now I guess I’m one o’ them Succulent Hipsters™️. I named it Leslie Howard, in keeping with my love of referencing classic black and white Hollywood movie stars that almost nobody else my age has ever heard of. I’m COOL, dammit! I am COOL.
*Any connection with the Knickerbocker Toy Company has yet to be determined! I’m still researching it! It’s confusing!
**I got it from thesill.com! HIGHLY recommended for dingle-dorks like me who love plants but don’t know much about them. Their care instructions couldn’t be any clearer. They even have a section on their site marked “For beginners”! Noice.
