terrestrial realtime

The Cornell Lab of Ornithology's experimental terrestrial realtime acoustic detection and classification unit. It's fairly small, about 7"x4"x2", containing a simple USB microphone and Raspberry PI model B.

 

Currently considered for use in identifying bird and elephant calls.
