Bournemouth rooftop panorama
This image may not be much interest to people who have never been to Bournemouth but it might just be of interest to those that have.
It was a spur of the moment panoramic series of photos I took last weekend from the top floor of the car park on my way home from the beach. It consists of a series of fifteen 50mm landscape photos that have been stitched together using Photoshop.
It's not perfect and there is a little bit of geometric distortion but at the time I just wanted to attempt some panoramic shots, without ever really intending to publish them online. I just found it rather fascinating when stitching them together to zoom in and look at the various parts of the image an notice things I could never have noticed at the time (i.e. the couple at the hotel balcony in the distance, people waiting in line for the bus, people walking along the water's edge on the beach, children cycling on the promenade etc). I found it quite interesting and thought that it is possible someone else might too. :)
I have uploaded it in a reduced quality but full size version (27144 x 2828) and you can see that here, but be aware that it is a 17MB download.
