Bakkeveen - Hike around het Mandeveld
With their "arms" reaching for the sky in an unnatural pose, large fallen tree stubs have something special to them, I cannot exactly explain it, maybe you will get the feeling I mean, when looking at this shot...
Bronica ETRS-I + Zenzanon E2 50mm F2,8 wide open.
Filmdata: Fujichrome Provia 100F scanned with Vuescan on an Epson Perfection 4990
When shooting medium format, I always look for subjects that make it possible to see the "medium format magic". With this I mean an extremely shallow DoF. Using a 50mm F2,8 wide angle (eq. to 26-27mm in the SLR-world), wide open, the unsharp background lets the main subject pop forward.
