Whispers in the Woods
A monochrome photograph of two abandoned barns captured in Hardin County, Iowa. While this composition is somewhat "busy" for a black and white image, I personally found it more appealing than the original color version. However, achieving some reasonably good contrast among the different elements required a bit of effort. Masking and adjusting the color hues and brightness took most of my tweaking time, then a touch of dodging and burning completed the black and white transformation.
