Lake Logan Reflections - Blue Ridge Mountains, Western North Carolina
Phil Varney Photography || Facebook || 500px
A view across Lake Logan, towards a structure which I presume is part of the Lake Logan Episcopal Center. After a spectacular morning at East Fork Overlook (picture posted previously), I took the long way back to Waynesville via US 215. Lake Logan sits essentially at the foot of Cold Mountain, though most of the lake is surrounded by private property and inaccessible. The color here was unreal, stretching all the way up the mountainside.
It's been way too long now since I've been up in the mountains - over a month! I'm sure like a lot of you, November is a crazy month in terms of traveling, work, and other obligations. I'm watching the forecast religiously though, hoping for the first good snow of winter soon!
