I had a chance to meet and work with a wonderful young woman with a very bright future.
Meet Karleh.
She just graduated High School and is headed to Yale. She has put in countless hours honing her skills with the ShotPut, Discus and sprints.
I met her through her father, Kirk, who happens to teach my youngest daughter piano.
I was lucky enough to get to spend recent morning with Karleh and her father. I came away with some images I really liked, but they lacked the feeling of intensity that I wanted.
So, unusually for me, I delved into my box of Nik filters and started playing.
I was spurred on by my friend Rob over at the Nikon Digital Learning Center and one of his recent posts.
He challenged me to get out of my comfort zone. This is the result.
