Yasaka Lighttrails 八坂レザービーム

A classic motive in the historic preserved area around Kiyomizu-temple and Yasaka-jinja. The pagoda is known as "Yasaka Pagoda", but actually is part of a temple called Houkan-ji 法観寺. Once in a year - a few weeks before the cherry blossom season kicks in - the pagoda and its surrounding are lit up for two weeks, with lots of lanterns on the street.
