My DIY Droplet Photography Setup
just being resourceful.
things needed:
Clips
Plastic
Tripod (or any object where you can hang/clip ur plastic)
Black Tray
White Paper/Folder
Ballpen
and
WATER
let the water droplets, drop into the tray filled with water, observe where the water lands, put the Ballpen in it (tell someone to assist you), then focus your camera to where the ballpen is placed.
Timing is the key, before shooting count how many seconds is the interval between drops, this is a trial and error method....you can use your Burst Mode...but as much as possible master the timing!
change the white balance into tungsten (+3) to give the whole photo a blue color.
to give a color to the drop, change the White Folder/Paper with different colors.
Camera Set-Up:
ISO 100
Aperture: f/8
Shutter Speed: 1/250
Flash triggered using a Hot Shoe Extension Cord
thanks to strobist.com for the tutorial on this!
