The dead tree
Amelia was feeling melancholy today. She followed directions from Cecilia, her ghost friend, to find the dead tree where Cecilia and her mother were killed nearly 100 years ago. The tree no longer grows and yet it stands in a permanent carpet of large red leaves. Some say the leaves are red for all the blood that was shed in this place. It gave Amelia chills to be there and feel the horrors that the tree remembers.
