Probably it was the last day of this lovely animal's life... The next day was the eighth day (Asthami) of Dashain, a Hindu feast. This is the day of sacrifices, when thousands of animals are sacrificed and offered to the Goddesses in Nepal. We've seen many of these sacrifices on the streets of Bhaktapur... it is a frightening experience.
