58 of 365 Part 5: Hats off to Hats
That's the theme in We're Here!. And I had to consider, which hat?
Steampunk bowler hat?
Leather "musketeer" hat?
Suede floppy cap (with feathers)?
Leather Wonder Woman crush cap?
Of course I went with the Wonder Woman crush cap from The Blonde Swan. Ren faire season starts in a few weeks and there will be plenty of photos of me in my suede floppy cap. Plus the Steampunk bowler hat and leather musketeer aren't even my hats. They're Christine's... but they're right there... with my Wonder Woman cap and floppy cap.
I have one steampunk event a year- Teslacon. There's also a steampunk weekend at Bristol, but I don't know if I'll wear this cap for that weekend. I expect it to be really hot, so wearing a lovely, thick leather hat like this is probably not a good idea. I wouldn't want to ruin it or die from heat stroke. Mostly the ruining though.
