American Alps

At the timberline crest between the high peaks and Nydiver Lakes, meadows explode with color. The elements desired by photographers converged into a glorious setting.

 

We're about level with Cecile Lake in the distance, behind the trees under the Minarets, where we were the previous day. The wildflowers here at the Nydiver crest are alpine laurel (pink) and mountain heather (white).

 

Sorry I truncated the trees on this shot. I have another one with the trees intact, but the flowers are closer in this one. My buddy's photo is much better.
