Steps to oblivion
Beautifully contoured steps invite the unwary hiker to prance on downward. But beware: the last step would take you over a cliff about 350 feet high, without warning or guardrails. West Clark Bench is a fun place to explore for the cautious photographer. Children NOT recommended!
The view looks southward to The Wave about 2 miles away. It's in Arizona, but WCB is in Utah. Between here & there is the deep, dark Buckskin Gulch slot canyon, pointed out in the notes.
Elegant decor on these natural stairsteps, don't you think? I have many more unusual photos of the whole rarely-seen outcrop of Navajo sandstone in my West Clark Bench and Edmaier's Secret Album.
