cliente: “Embracing Our Differences“
Más que una cartelera pretende ser sólo una gran bandera: la bandera del encuentro. No importa si es entre diferentes razas, sexos o creencias, siempre deberíamos encontrar un lugar común en el que aceptarnos y convivir. Esta peculiar bandera no se representa con colores inmutables, puede tener tantos colores y motivos como conflictos por resolver en el mundo. Y, a diferencia de otras banderas, no sirve para marcarse y distanciarse, si no para complementarse. Esta bandera no me identifica como alguien diferente si no como alguien dispuesto a abrazar las diferencias. Es por eso que alrededor de esta bandera no es necesario construir un muro ni poner una alambrada. Y con ella, mejor que subir a lo alto de la montaña y clavarla, es enarbolarla en el valle, donde todos nos podamos reunir.
Actually, my proposal for "Embracing Our Differences", more than a billboard, is intended to be just a big flag: the flag of the meeting. It does not matter if it is between different races, sexes or beliefs, we should always find a common place in which to accept and live. This peculiar flag is not represented with immutable colors, it can have as many colors and motives as there are conflicts to be solved in the world. And, unlike other flags, it does not serve to mark and distance oneself, but to complement each other. This flag does not identify me as someone different but as someone willing to embrace differences. That is why around this flag it is not necessary to build a wall or put a fence. And with it, better than climb to the top of the mountain and nail it, is to fly it in the valley, where we can all meet.
