SOF12 Small Secret Wax Paper: Thank You Hummingbird
For three challenges:
* Daria's (djc's) SOF12 Good Things Small Packages
* Michelle's (Meechelle's) SOF12 Secret Santa
* LeighAnn's (lovepug2's) SOF12 Wax Paper
The background is made from glossy cardstock. I took a piece of new wax paper and placed it on top of the Spellbinders Impressabilities Fleur de Lis that my Secret Santa gave me (thank you!) and then I ran it through my Cuttlebug to dry emboss the wax paper. Then I took the wax paper and sandwiched it between two pieces of glossy cardstock (shiny sides towards the wax paper) and ironed the sandwich to transfer the wax to the glossy cardstock as a resist. Next I applied Tsukineko Memento Bahama Blue dye ink directly to the glossy cardstock and then wiped off the excess with a paper towel.
Then I trimmed it to size and edged it with the same Bahama Blue ink. I added scalloped white velvet ribbon and adhered it to the card base. I stamped the "thank you" sentiment from Hero Arts CL371 Essential Messages using Ranger Archival Ink in jet black. The hummingbird is from Stampin' Up 120045 Elements of Style and is stamped with Memento Lilac Posies dye ink. It is attached with foam squares for dimension. Finally, I added Hero Arts CH127 Pink Gemstones to set off the corners.
Thanks for looking! :-)
