SOF12 Let It Snow: Snowy Aspen Trees
I created this shaped card for Anna-Karin's SOF12 Let It Snow Challenge.
The focal image is made from 90# cold-pressed watercolor paper. I placed The Crafter's Workshop's 6x6 Aspen Trees mask (TCW252) over top and using Tsukineko sponge daubers to apply Shaded Lilac, Worn Lipstick, and Tumbled Glass Distress Inks.
To make the "snow" I mixed platinum Perfect Pearls with water on my non-stick craft sheet and used a paint brush to flick it onto the background. Next I used a shape template of my own design, that I cut out of a cracker box, to trim the background and a textured metallic silver card base to size.
I used silver Stickles glitter glue to outline the snowy aspen trees and let it dry overnight. Then I adhered it to the metallic card base. I stamped the "You are someone special" sentiment from Hero Arts CL578 Good Friends on top using Ranger Archival Ink in jet black.
Thanks for looking! :-)
