Autumn Floral Brocade Card

The focal image for this card was made on 140# cold pressed watercolor paper. First I used a blending tool and foam to "swirl on" Tattered Rose and Dried Marigold Distress Ink. Then I stamped G3316 Harlequin on top using Dried Marigold, H5261 Flourish Trio using Tattered Rose, and S1832 Italian Poetry using Tea Dye Distress Inks. Next I splotched the Distress Ink background with water. Then I mixed water with Perfect Pearls in Gold and Copper and flicked it onto the background.

Then I stamped CG187 Floral Brocade on top using VersaMark watermark ink and heat embossed with clear embossing powder as a resist, to protect most of the background. Then I used a sponge dabber to apply Rusty Hinge and Bundled Sage Distress Inks to bring out the design of the Floral Brocade stamp.

I die cut the focal image using Spellbinders Nestabilities Labels One and edged it using a copper paint pen. The background is made from plain cardstock covered with Shabby Shutters Distress Crackle Paint. Then I stamped the sentiment from CL434 Just Find Me using Timber Brown Staz-On. To finish the card, I added three CH154 Orange Gemstones.
