Thank Hoo card with Paper Moon
One of our favorite charities is the Carolina Raptor Center. They care for and rehabilitate birds of prey like eagles, hawks, and owls. I wanted to make a card to thank their staff, so naturally I thought of using an owl stamp!
I decided to put the owl in front of a pretty full moon, made from patterned paper. (I don't know why he looks so orange in the picture, he's really more of a golden brown than orange.) The owl is raised on pop dots for dimension.
Materials used:
* American Crafts ribbon: from "Boutique Amber" collection
* cardstock: kraft and white
* Clearsnap/Colorbox Fluid Chalk Queue: Bisque color from Pumpkin Patch set
* EK Success 3D-Dots: 1/16" squares
* EK Success Cutter Bee scissors
* Hero Arts CL183 Sparkle Clear Cute Letters
* Marvy Uchida Clever Lever Giga Craft Punch: Circle (approx. 3")
* Odorless mineral spirits (Mona Lisa brand from Michael's)
* Prismacolor Premier colored pencils: PC904 Light Cerulean Blue, PC943 Burnt Ochre, and PC1034 Goldenrod.
* Ranger Archival Ink: Jet Black
* Sizzix Little Sizzles paper pad (background patterned paper)
* Tim Holtz™ Distress Ink: Tea Dye
* Tsukineko VersaFine pigment ink: Vintage Sepia
* Xyron 500 Create-a-Sticker machine
