Decay Under the Stars

Shooting the galactic core is fun, but it's the foreground that makes a difference.

This is the Motor Transport Museum in Campo, CA. Located about an hour east of San Diego, this is the final resting place for over 200 transport vehicles, ranging from tow trucks and emergency vehicles to tankers and buses, with cranes and other heavy equipment thrown in for good measure. While most of the equipment is in disrepair, there are a few pieces in restoration. That process relies on donations, which are, admittedly, few and far between.

In any event, it was a great location for capturing the summer night sky, with a small donation to the curators.
