Yet Another Sunset [Explore]

For well over 40 centuries these two trees have weathered every sunrise and sunset together - the good, the bad, the non-descript. There is talk that climate change will accelerate the end to that run - a distinct possibility - but, I think that these two have more perspective than we humans do.

Bristlecone pines are survivors; they live in some of the most inhospitable environs and endure because others cannot. So, while they do not pre-date human history, they very well may live beyond ours because they have adapted to embracing life on the edge.

Congrats on Explore!
