Delicate on a Hot Summer Afternoon [Explore]

One of the most iconic images of Utah and the entire U.S. National Park system, Delicate Arch draws thousands of visitors each day, despite the strenuous hike out to the location.

 

This view, from the Lower Delicate Arch Viewpoint, is the easiest way to see the Arch, albeit from a mile away. Though there were some folks clustered around the arch on this particular afternoon, it wasn't terribly crowded...due in large part, no doubt, to the triple digit afternoon temperatures and 30-Kt wind gusts that buffeted both hikers and photographers alike.
