American Salt Flat [Explore]

Death Valley is far more colorful than one might imagine it to be. Taken at sunrise, as the first light begins to work its way down the Panamint Range to the west, I am struck by the rich red color of the mountains, contrasted by both the blue sky and the white salt flat. Of course, mid-day these colors are far more muted and similar, but the temperatures even in winter, can make a visit here daunting.
